Opportunity Quilt 2002 Canyon Quilters 2002 Opportunity Quilt, "Shore Leave" has sea birds indemic to San Diego, CA flying across a very pale background of Storm at Sea blocks suggesting a stylized landscape. The borders are made of a challenging star block, done in similar but darker colors. "Shore Leave" was quilted by Kathy Sandbach author of "Show Me How to Machine Quilt" published by C&T Publishing. It is featured in “Shoreline Quilts,” compiled by Cyndy Rymer also published by C&T Publishing. It was won by Jesus Villa. The winning ticket was sold by Sandi Delman. Jesus Villa
