Canyon Quilters Opportunity Quilts are designed,
constructed, and usually quilted by Guild members.

Opportunity Quilt 2003

“Tea Garden” has been designed by Linda Hamby and The Tuesday Group.
The quilt, which is hand quilted, measurers 72” x 88”.
The drawing for the quilt was held on February 16, 2004 at the Canyon Quilters meeting.
The winner is Grace T. of Hacienda Heights
This meeting celebrated “Tea Garden” with a special tea lecture by
Debbie Bacon of Oklahoma, a tea party and a tea party hat contest.


Opportunity Quilt 2002

Canyon Quilters 2002 Opportunity Quilt, "Shore Leave" has sea birds indemic to San Diego, CA flying across a very pale background of Storm at Sea blocks suggesting a stylized landscape. The borders are made of a challenging star block, done in similar but darker colors. "Shore Leave" was quilted by Kathy Sandbach author of "Show Me How to Machine Quilt" published by C&T Publishing. It is featured in “Shoreline Quilts,” compiled by Cyndy Rymer also published by C&T Publishing. It was won by Jesus Villa. The winning ticket was sold by Sandi Delman.
