2025 Challenge Theme:
Canyon Quilters
40 Year Anniversary
1985 - 2025
To acknowledge and celebrate our Guild’s 40th (Ruby) Anniversary,
each challenge quilt must have 40 of something incorporated into the quilt:
♦ 40 fabrics ♦ 40 seams ♦ 40 designs ♦ 40 colors ♦ 40 blocks
♦ 40 stars ♦ 40 words ♦ 40 beads ♦ 40 of ANYTHING
Additionally, you will choose one fat-quarter from three pre-selected fabrics—see below—
and then you must use this ruby-red fabric on the front of your quilt, where at least a 1” piece is visible.
Nitty Gritty aka The Details!
The 2025 Challenge is open to everyone who is a member of Canyon Quilters of San Diego.
- Entry fee is $15 per quilt. You may enter more than one quilt.
- Quilts must be 14” x 14”, finished in a professional manner, have a 2” sleeve and a label on the back with your name, techniques and materials, and contact information.
- Turn in your quilt no later than October 20th. Bring it to a Guild meeting or arrange to drop it off with Patt Anderson; her info is in the directory.
- Quilts are displayed at Canyon’s November meeting, where we will have a silent auction so that you can bid on your favorite quilt(s!).
- Starting bids for all quilts will be $125.
- The quilts will be displayed on Canyon’s website.
